NYC Walking Tours and Other North American Adventures!
NYC walking tours are one of the best ways to get to know the city - you're right there on the sidewalk, in the park, in the shops, talking to people.
There are many cities in North America that are great for walking. New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans have many walking tours, but there are others, as well.
And there are self-guided audio tours available if you want to head out on your own, at your own pace. You can go sightseeing in NYC, or follow a special interest on a culinary tour or ghost tour.

You'll see Manhattan and Times Square from a different perspective, and get a CD with at least 75 photos of your trip.
NYC Original Rock n' Roll Tour- See where the Ramones, the Doors, and the Who hung out in NYC. This trip through the East Village covers 3 eras of music: rock, punk, and glam. You'll see the most famous performance venues, as well as some of the early homes of those destined to become rock stars!

New Orleans is famous for ghost and cemetery tours, as well as great food
New Orleans Cemetery and Gris Gris Walking Tour- This is a walking tour of the famous St. Louis Cemetery #1. You'll visit the tomb of the "voodoo queen" of New Orleans and learn about the practice of voodoo, as well at the burial practices in this city that sits below sea level (that fact is significant in how they bury their dead!)
New Orleans Garden District Walking Tour- There is more to New Orleans than ghosts! This charming tour visits the beautiful homes and gardens of the Garden District. You can learn about the history and architecture of this area - and, of course, you will also visit the cemetery! (There is a bus portion to transport you between the French Quarter and the cemetery).
New Orleans French Quarter MP3 Audio Walking Tour - This self-guided audio tour takes you through the French Quarter, from Bourbon Street to Jackson Square. You'll hear about the history of the area, and the effects of Hurricane Katrina. This tour can take 2 - 4 hours, depending on your pace.
Another option for exploring almost any city by foot is the Hop On, Hop Off Bus Tours or trolley tours. Many cities have these tours - you buy a pass to get on and off the bus or trolley as often as you want, then explore the nearby area on foot. Get back on the bus and go to another part of the city to explore. These are a great way to get the feel of a city.
