McGee Creek Pack Station

Riding into McGee Canyon, alt. 8,000ft

Riding into McGee Canyon, alt. 8,000ft

High in the Eastern Sierra of California alongside an historic working Pack Station is a beautiful canvas cabin next to a rushing creek.

You may join the cowboys and girls for a Wrangler's breakfast, ask for a packed lunch and have dinner round the campfire. The peace is all yours; you can walk out or lay in a hammock! McGee is a stunning isolated Canyon known for it's wildflowers, birds and fishing - all enjoyed from a trusty mount!

The Pack Station has always been 'green', moving in when the snow melts and out when it threatens, no trace is left behind as cars are parked for the duration as well.

Jennifer and Claiborne are happy to advise you of all the activities locally and take you on some rides you'll want to repeat / they can let you know the rates too for Summer 2010. Be in touch and we can tell you more about this secret side of California and all that Ansel Adams and John Muir found wonderful about it. creeksidemcgee@me.com
